Hi all, just wondering if anyone could recommend the essential spares for a 3 week road trip to Europe in my 997.2. Thinking a litre of oil and coolant (got a slight coolant leak on the pesky front cross over pipes). Anything else anyone would recommend?

Many thanks for the info. Didn't know about the Crtique Air permits, so I will check these out.
I'd take a spark plug and coil pack and even if you can't fit it yourself (not the easiest of task on .2) at least the recovery chap or local mechanic might be able to fit and it saves you waiting around.

I'd seriously think about getting that coolant leak fixed before your trip!
I'm assuming that you'll be doing a lot of miles so be sure that 1 litre of top up oil is enough based on your known oil usage.
I echo re the coolant pipe issue. Also spare bulbs.I'd seriously think about getting that coolant leak fixed before your trip!

It’s Crit’air in France, not Critique - see https://www.france.fr/en/article/crit-air-anti-pollution-vehicle-sticker/. Depends whether you are going into any of the affected areas. Only a few Euros and lasts the life of your windscreen so a no-brainer. Similar green sticker for Germany, if you are going there. Cheapest to buy from Berlin rather than regional TUV.

It’s a very very slow drip so I think I’m going to be ok with it. It hardly uses any oil at all so I think a litres will be enough. ThanksI'd seriously think about getting that coolant leak fixed before your trip!

The AA web site has a great article on all the prep in general.
A spare coil top is essential, having one saved our tour of Austria last year.
Beware of the new speed limits in the towns and village!
Be sure you have 2 fresh cans of instant puncture repair too.
We have done 2 big euro trips with the odd drip from those front pipes, all ok.
Have a good time!
