Yes, I spoke to the owner of the red RHD 3.8RS a while back (in Scotland) . His other car was a 500E. Good tastes :)

We heard what they are asking yet??
Guess 400k-500k Sterling from here... knowing their previous form though, I might be underestimating.

As a potentially interested party, I went and asked...

It is of course a 6 figure number, and it almost starts with a 6...

Most of the proper proper sports prototype racing cars Porsche built are RHD. There must be something in it. It can't be wrong hand drive if porsche design it for this side when they have a blank sheet.

Interesting - what's the theory then? better weight distribution (more stuff on the lh side?), more space in the right place? Seems a little unsual, esp as I assume most porsches are LHD, so most components, chassis's designed for LHD.

Anyone got any ideas

Most circuits were clockwise, so more righthanders than lefthanders. Driver on the right side = better weight distribution then. I think, Paul´s just joking. We all know that e. g. the 917 was RHD with gear lever on the right also because of the reason mentioned above. And as I´m German, no humour here!

Einen schönen guten Tag,

Prices are changing so quickly that I'm probably out of date, but could you not get a 964 RSR for significantly less than Hexagon are asking for the 964 3.8 RS. I think it is a stunning car, but I would not consider paying that much for it.

From memory RHD stuff has included;
908
917
956
962
935 moby dick
936
RS Spyder LMP2

Hacki, I'm Scottish, not sure we have a sense of humour either. [8D]
