So I have a desire to fit cruise control to my early 996, for average speed zones and the like, have managed to assemble what I believe is all the hardware to do so with the exception of the correct loom.
Would welcome help, advice, pictures, wiring diagrams etc anything really that would enable me to finish what I have started.
If anyone has actually done this then I would love to hear from you or of you know someone who has then an introduction would be much appreciated.

I did it on my 1998 C2 many years ago. You need the actuator and mounting bracket, a stalk unit, and some wiring. I bought a complete throttle pedal and cable, but later found that you can split the existing pedal and fit the cable from the actuator to it. I did it at the same time as a fellow in Canada, and he wrote up a DIY with a bit of input from me, including the wiring diagram. To make the loom, there is a Delphi 10-pin plug you need for the actuator, a crimp terminal to go on one of the bridge plugs, and some VW repair wires to connect to the stalk.
