Replacing the metal valve on Turbo Twist alloys?

Hi All,
I have genuine hollow turbo twist alloys on my C2. I'm having 4 new tyres fitted in the next week.
Quick question - do I need to/or should I consider replacing the metal valve stem? (see photo)
I assume the current valves are original and have been reused when new tyres have previously been fitted.
However, the tyres haven't been replaced in recent years as they are between 12 and 16 years old!
Interested to know of any official recommendations or what others of you have done/do?
