Hi all
My independant specialist is looking into offering remapping. They claim that no upgrades are required in the specification on the car. Not sure what the general output percentage increases are to be but they got well over 100bhp on a 997 turbo s.
I know very little about remapping but they have suggested they could do my car, a 997.2 carrera, as an example car for an extremely favourable price.
My main concerns/questions are
1. Would the upgrade wear parts (other than the obvious brake pads etc) faster than the factory output?
2. Are no spec upgrades really required to handle the extra performance (assuming about an extra 100bhp)
3. Would it affect my car value for resale?
4. Can it be reversed if i want the car back to factory settings?
My instict is that im not really interested as i am happy with what i have but then again, it might be fun!?
Thanks
