Register sticker

Afternoon all,

Another little question;

I've owned my 944 for less than a week, and I've just spotted a "Porsche Club Great Britain 944 Register" sticker on the windscreen.
Is there any way I can find out a little about the car through this, or does anyone on here know anything about it? Really long shot I know, but thought I'd ask anyway!

Its a red 2.7 from 1989, the reg is F192 MOD

Any thoughts?

I dont know if they can help you but you are lucky chap. You buy a car and get one of the U.K's nae Europe's , most exclusive and sort after stickers for free [8D]

Unfortunatly unless a previous owner wants to disclose all the horriible secrets, the data protection acts means the club cant do anything. However, I think if anybody on here knows anything worthwhile, they would tell you. Also I think a lot of owners o f 944s move on to other Porsches or leaving completely - they seem to be often a bit of toe in the water of Porsche ownership. Then - there are some who find that 944s are JUST perfect! If anyone here could help they would. Mike

If the chap is a club member then the club could drop him a line with your details and leave it up to them if thy want to say hi. Sadly as mentioned I think many of them move on. I was in the same position , I knew an enthusiast had maintained my car himself for about 7 years and would have just liked to have spoken to him re what he had been up to with the car and even what events it had done. Maybe even a photo or two would have been really great. Sadly I havnt spoken with him . Best of luck Mas

interesting, cuasu my turbo has one of these stickers and some porscheclubgb papers with it. As a plus generally if someone has joined a club they (not always) are more likely to be an enthusiast and so perhaps more likely to give the car more care and attension so even if its been driven hard its likely to be in better shape. I wonder if previous owner ever posted stuff no here?
