Hi .
Quick question maybe someone can answer and clarify.

As you all know the Boxster Register has been split into North & South which I might add is not our decision.

As above when Tracy was told of the register was being split into North & South she was told it will happen to various other Registers i.e Cayman, 997, 991 etc.

I have seen no evidence of other Registers being split or advertised .
So my question is when can we expected other Registers to be split.
Yes the above have almost as many members .

At the officials zoom call on Thursday the VC stated that there was no appetite to split any other registers. Of course things can change!

Cheers Jeff.

If Peters comments are correct no appetite for further Register splits its disappointing why the Boxster Register is singled out when Tracy has done a sterling job never once felt overwhelmed especially with the support of her Boxster team and members for the whole of the Register all over the UK.
Our perception and feedback is the majority never wanted this split, you only had to look at the comments on social media and why social media needs splitting as well beggars belief.

It just alienates members but hey ho, as said total travesty the whole affair.
I doubt the current board will take note it never worked for the 991 Register I know for a fact as I know both guys who ran it together just causes confusion .
As Peter says things can change.

It dumbfounds me when a Register has been run so brilliantly by the most dedicated folks any club could ever wish for and they then do something so asinine as this

It really is inexcusable and I take my hat off to you guys remaining so publicly calm and professional in the light of their action

Thanks Daro.
May I also take this opportunity to thank you for your continuous input on the Boxster section. Thread Are Spyders becoming extinct.

For anyone interested in the levels of ownership in each register, there is some 2023 data in the members only area: https://www.porscheclubgb.com/forum/threads/register-splits.218036/

Indeed .
Hope it wasn't a smoke screen just to do the Boxster Register for some reason.
I hope other Registers will follow suit as told as I see this as unfair.
Well it looks like it was all smoke and mirrors just to split the Boxster register, unesasary not wanted by the majority just to appease the few who thought it a good idea.
I have seen no evidence of any other registers
being split despite being told this was the plan.
All very disappointing.

I don't know about smoke and mirrors sounds more like down right deceitfulness to me .

Either way totally unjustified and handled in a very disrespectful fashion but that seems to be the M.O. these days in many walks of life

Keeping things simple is a good outlook, esp where you have a lot of people involved, ie a good sized Car Club.

There is no harm keeping things as they are if they are working, people like this kind of stability, bit like having the Boxster Register in one piece!
