Register Rendezvous

R19 have been invired to an open day at Prermier Panels in Farnham and I will be representing the region there.

Alas, that date is already booked for a food festival.

Shame, it looks tempting otherwise. Very tempting. Hope there is a good 944 showing.

You're always eating Oli.....[8|]

My 944 has been quietly snoozing on the driveway for almost two years and is in no fit state to make it, but I happen to be in the area for other reasons so hope to be there and remember what a 944 is meant to look like ! Be good to put some faces to names even though I don't get on the forum much nowadays.......

Four of us made it in the end. Mcnulters looked lonely and very relieved when the rest of us started to show up - we are not early risers. [;)]

I don't think anyone had any cameras but you may see some shots elsewhere. I think we were outnumbered 2-1 by the 968's so a very good effort from them considering so few were made

D'oh!! Forgot to take my camera...John Frith was there amongst the 968s. He was taking photos...I'll ask him.

A good looking line up, all monochrome (Titanium, Alpine White and Panther Black). Some interesting Shell stuff in the House...I'll be going back.

Thanks to all the organisers...a great turn out.

Indeed, this was the first row of the Register display two hours in to the show! [&o]

A real shame more people didn't come along. It won't affect the events: the NT will be doing more car shows at their venues, and we lay on a great show. Just that the 944s won't be at the front, nor have a large area, again.

We thought the 944 owners would love a free event, in a great location, with pretty good weather. Open to non-members, I don't know why we didn't fill the designated area and need to overflow on to the other displays?

It wasn't just the 944s. There was only one 924 and one 928, two 914s, two 356s, very few early 911s. The 968s were the stars, but it was organised by the 968 Register so that was great to see.

It's a shame that the new cars take over the events. I love a Boxster as much as anyone, but see dozens on the road every day. It must make for a better display if more of the older cars came to these events? [8|]
