I have spoken to the Royal Berkshire Hotel, and there is an option to hold a one day event there either sat 23rd June or Sun 24th June. I have managed to keep our options on two meeting rooms open and we can choose between a lunchtime buffet or a sit down evening meal, at a quite reasonable £30. I have abolutely no idea how much I can offset the cost if at all, but I need rough numbers, and as time is short, I need them in a hurry, preferrably before Monday 14th as I have arranged to meet Angela, the Royal's representative before Weds. of next week. So, we have a venue, and some rooms, what do you, as members want to make of the day? Have you made alternative plans? Do you want me to try to secure judges for street concours? Its your event, lets make it as good as we can in the short time available to us. My thanks go to Fabien for at least getting the dates pencilled in. He has made things easier for us all. We miss you buddy.
