Recommendation for good suspension indy near Rugby, warwickshire?

Yep , changed a wheel bearing too which I thought sorted it but it's still there. Looks like the wishbones need replacing for sure.

That's the thing... I'm not after a tailor made race set up. Just want the steering wheel to stop shaking around the 70mph mark. Would promax be a lot more reasonable then?

I would imagine so, give them a call. As far as I know it they have a charge for the geo at and then labour on top of that depending on what is seized up...

I had something like that on my race car, literally went through everything and couldn't find a thing wrong. Turned out one of the front tyres had a defect, it hadn't chucked any balance weights from the wheel but something was definitely wrong with the tyre because the problem went away as soon as new tyres went on (neither had a visible flat spot). Checking the balance of each wheel/tyre again probably would have found the problem, sounds obvious but personally I would always start there just to eliminate wheels/tyres. Not saying this is the problem in your case but IMHE I would just work through the problem starting from the bit in contact with the road and work back up through to the steering column joints/mounts.

Thanks for all the replies. I have an MOT booked for Friday next week so will see if that throws me any curve balls. If not, then hopefully book into Promax for them to have a look. Possiby centre of gravity - still need to decide.

Craig, that wobble only started after I got new tyres fitted to the front. I got the fitter to rebalance them and it improved but didn't go away. It might be worth swapping the wheels around to see if that helps because I was convinced it was wheel related when I owned it.

If not, I suspect it is a worn bush somewhere.

Thanks James, was also sure it was something wheel related as you can drive through the wobble and it disapears after about 85. Had them balanced at various places but no luck. Starting to think it may be a tyre defect...

Anyone fancy meeting up to swap fronts over for a short test run? Later offset.

Cheers for that Edd - fancy meeting up one evening - near a bit of motorway? Or could come to you in London.

Let me know and I will make a plan. Freeish tonight actually.

Craig, I'm in Cornwall at the moment, back on the 10th, could probably do the 11th or 12th afternoon/evening if that suits. Could meet up at one of the motorway services?
