Our second event of 2023 saw R18 members met at Barton Grange on the A6 to commence the drive to the fabulous Lake District. After a short run up the M6 to the cafe at the Lakeland Motor Museum more members joined the group. Following an inspection of the Classic cars at the monthly meeting at this venue the group left to take in the great roads and scenery of the Lake District going via Coniston, Ambleside and Bowness to the excellent venue, Boardwalk Bar and Grill, overlooking Lake Windermere. A few members from R22 joined the group for a splendid lunch hosted by R18 member Chris Driver.
We had several new members who also attended the event from both R18 and R22.
Many thanks to Alan Ridehalgh for organising the event and to Chris Driver from Boardwalk.
I’m sure we will be returning later in the year.
