Anyone got any ideas about how to make my cars rear wiper self park whe switched off? I assume theres a relay and that is likely to be the cause of the problem but before I replace it,[sm=spanner1.gif] any other ideas?

Could it be connected in any way to the headlamp washers which have also decided to stop working.

My windscreen wipers used to not park. What was happening was that the spindle was rusting in the shaft. Motor had enough power to force the wipers over the screen (reluctantly) but the self park never used to return them completely.

If it is this then remove the assembly, dismantle, lubricate and refit if you can asap as the motor will continue to try and park the wiper when the engine is switched off which will eventualy burn the motor out but in the short term cause the battery to go flat.

Hope this helps.
