Rear Windscreen Wiper Issue on Targa 996 2002

Hi there,

Can I get some input please on an issue with my rear windscreen wiper? The motor for the rear windscreen wiper is working fine (and relays are working) but it is not connecting flush between the rear windscreen and the metal disc beneath it so the wiper is not being moved in the normal backward and forward motion that should occur. I am wondering if there is either a missing part OR one of the parts is not fitted correctly (flush) - OR have I just got it misaligned? Any guidance would be very appreciated !!

Many thanks in advance

Andrew

Hello Andrew, please see the attached photo's on my 2002 Targa. Looks like the pin drive is missing or sheared off.

From speaking to Porsche Guildford Parts Team, the rear windscreen wiper part which includes the spindle and pin, can only be purchased with the rear windscreen wiper motor (99662809000 for the targa). I have checked ebay and online breakers yards but all appear to sell the motor without the pin part.

Please get in touch if you have had to replace your rear windscreen motor and have not needed the spindle/pin part as I will happily purchase it off you.
Many thanks
