Rear Window Wiper Problem, please help.

Can anyone help me with a problem I have with my 993 Targa Tiptronic please?

The rear window wiper will not stop!!

I have activated the switch several times, but still the window wiper continues.

Any help or suggestion would be appreciated.

Hi Lynn

Not 100% sure but would guess at the timer relay. Does 3 wipes and normally stops from Memory?

As Graham says, switch is just a momentary contact to energise the relay which times it for 3 passes. Could be a sticking switch or a dodgy relay. 3 passes is too much really, better to replace with a standard relay so it only sweeps once.
 
Can anyone advise me where the relay 928 618 104 00, for the rear window wiper, is situated in my porsche 993 please.

Well on mine there's one under the rear shelf where the speakers are located. Have to remove the trim enough to gain access. Not difficult at all. I changed this to give a single sweep as I recall. Don't think there is another but I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

Under the rear shelf as said above, remove and replace with a multi purpose (53) relay for more control!
