Rear upper child safety seat anchors?

Hi all and a Merry Christmas!
I was hoping someone can help me out.
I'm in the process of exporting my 997.2 Turbo over to Australia and my broker has advised that to be compliant with local laws, the car must have rear upper child safety seat anchors and if not they should be fitted in the UK as the cost to do this once landed is extortionate.
I cannot see these at all in the car but a quick search on a few forums has suggested these are behind the rear seats, hidden beneath the parcel shelf / engine cover and that you would need to cut out some of the shelf to reveal them. This sounds a little absurd but I've seen photos (see below) & videos of the cut out sections sure enough with an anchor point beneath.
Does anyone know if this is true and also if all models have these as standard as opposed to being an option?
I don't need to use them, just to know if they are fitted so I can avoid any compliance issues.
Thanks for any help that may be useful.

Hi Andrew
Thanks for posting the parts diagrams.
Would that mean that these are fitted as standard, i.e. that item 17, which I assume is the rear seat top anchor point bracket, is standard fitment on all UK 997's 2009-2012?
Also do you know if it is correct that this would be found beneath the rear parcel shelf / engine cover?
You clearly have a depth of knowledge way beyond my own so your help is much appreciated.
Eddie

Morning Eddie,

Welcome ...

17 fitted as standard - from what is listed / shown, yes - it is my view that it is fitted

Can you remove the seat back to check OR would the mounting bolts be visible from the engine compartment ?

I will have another look at the parts file to check again

Parts file located ... https://www.porsche.com/uk/accessoriesandservice/classic/genuineparts/originalpartscatalogue/

Display ... then view / download

Rear bracket is on - Illustration: 817-044

I initially used the non Turbo parts file but now having checked further, the Turbo is exactly the same

Update ...

817-044 relates to the Cabrio and shows the bracket 17

Whereas 817-040 relates to the Coupe and does NOT show the bracket hence my initial assumption may be incorrect

To check part relevance against the model / body style note the extreme right hand side of the diagram

Thanks again Andrew, tha is really thorough and helpful info.
Agreed it looks like it may have only been fitted to Cabrios so I will see if its possible to fit to my Coupe in the UK before putting on the boat!
