Rear seat cushion removal on 970 Panamera

I’m trying to remove the rear seat cushions on my newly acquired 970.
I see lots of posts with others finding it impossible. I’ve seen the diagram where it tells you to press a screwdriver against a tab to release it, but I’m no further forward.
Has anyone managed to do this and, if so, what’s the trick?

Hi, my local specialist ended up breaking all the plastic clips to get the squabs out. Replacement clips are not too expensive, I vaguely recall they are abut £5 each. I'm planning to remove the squab over the weekend and reading up, it says grab one side and pull sharply up. I'll be giving that a go. Hope this helps
 
Oh, and congratulations on the 970. Ive had mine a year and the car has challenged me at times so I have and still am, learning a lot about it. Give me a shout if I can help in any way, happy to share my experience if it will help others.
 
Thanks for that! I should add that my rear seats are optioned as:
833 PREM. REAR SEATS (40/20/40) SPORT
943 REAR SEAT COVERS, LLL (ALL-LEATHER, PLAIN)
so I’m wondering if there’s something different about the cushions from standard seats (maybe welded in place?! ;)).
 
Hi, it does feel like they are welded in but you should feel some movement when you try and lift the squab up. The plastic clips are incredibly hard. So pull up one side upwards as hard as you can. Failing that, you will have to brake the tab that locks the clip into the metal below the seat. See pic.
The replacement clips a £4 each.
