It shouldn’t be an expensive fix, especially if you get a reputable local Porsche Independent to do the job, and probably it’ll be worth replacing the seat on the other side.

Although the car has only done 38k miles it is 12 years old so maybe this is reasonable. I'll contact my local indy.

I'd suggest getting a price from your OPC with your club discount.
Design911 aren't the cheapest...esp as you need to add p&p AND VAT to that price...
