Rear Number Plate

Simple question really, how is the rear number plate fixed, is it double sided sticky tape and if so, how do you get it off without damaging the paintwork?

you should be used to this in your line of work....

waxing technique, grab a corner and tear it off as quick as you can[:D]

Or alternatively get a number plate holder for £5 and get any garage to drill holes in the back for you and attach the plate.

An alternative method for removing it is to drive it for a reasonable distance on a hot day - mine has almost departed twice now after a drive for a few hour in warmer climes.

High ambient temperature + close proximity of the hot sillencer behind the bumper cover = melted double-sided tape[8|]

Thank you all, in reply to Nicola, do I have to scream when I pull it or is that really too girlie?

Peter

I' ve never had any trouble with the rear number plate, but the front plate that porsche stuck on using double sided tape, because of the nice shaply nose the plate only ever lasted about 100 miles before it started coming adrift. my OPC solved the problem, they screwed it on for me at no charge.
