Rear model Badges ?

Did all 944's get a rear model designation badge, I put one on my Cab as I think it looked rather bare, my mate mentioned it to the previous owner and he said that the Cabs never came with the "944 S2" badging, but I have seen pictures of others with one on ? was there a delete option for the model designation ?

Not going to take it off, I like it, I was thinkign that when it was repainted the £40 for a new one perhaps put them off putting a new one on.

I guess that there was only one cab model at first, so there was no need to try to differentiate it with badges as there was with the 944 (that we wrongly call a lux), the S2 and the Turbo.

The later turbo cabs have a badge on, don't they? [8|]
