Re-plating bumper lamps

Finally got round to ringing some local companies who would be able to re-plate the rusting reflectors in my bumper lamps. I would have thought it would be a cheaper option, but no!

Due to their rectangular shape they are considered difficult to re-plate and would cost £60-£70 to do!! (each!)

That's more than brand new complete lamps!

I had a cracked lens on my bumber light which failed the MOT, I used Porsche apart who charged me £20-25 from memory and that included the bulb. I could not fit the new lens as the screws had rusted up solid, so I just fitted the unit which had a plastic back instead of metal, I think it was from a 944.
