Rattle in Exhaust

Took the Boxster out today and it had a pronounced rattle, like a loose part, in the exhaust. Got less as it warmed up but still there when it was hot. I have not seen any comments on forums etc. about this. Has anyone else experienced this problem ? Car has done just 17K from new.
 
Check the heat shields that are on the top of the catalytic converters. They corrode around the retaining bolts.
 
Mine had a rattle when I got it, the bolts had come loose off the heat sheild as Tony said, apparently quite common, porsche fixed it when I took it for a service. Not rattled since!!!
 
Noise is now reaching steel band proportions when cold. Been very busy and away for weekend. Will get out and under in next couple of days. Many thanks for helpful replies. Will keep you posted.
 
I had the same problem when I bought my Boxster 2.5 (T, 1999) and replaced the exhaust with a 'S' twin tailpipe unit from my local Porsche specialist (not main dealer) for £150. Now sound great with a good rasp between 4500-6000. The baffle seems to be a problem with Boxsters !!
 
I had the same problem with my car, t'was the heat shield m'lud. Cost £80 to replace from an OPC.
