There's a new podcast just out by Chris Harris talking to former rally co-driver Nicky Grist.

Nicky looks back on his long career in motorsport, starting from when he originally set out to become a golf pro and the change of direction that led him through to competition at the highest level, partnering 4 times world champion Juha Kankkunen and latterly, of course, Colin McRae.

It's a bit of a marathon production, but I took it in 3-4 bites - and whiled away a bit of time during this lockdown. It also had me reminiscing back to my own - rather less illustrious time in rallysport! [ ]
]

I'm a bit older than Nicky, so our paths never really crossed then, although I did meet up with a youthful Colin McRae on several occasions whilst competing in the national championships in the 80's - even provided him with a temporary windscreen when he managed to barrel-roll his Vauxhall Nova on an event we were both competing in. [ ]

Here's the link for anyone wishing to check it out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9OkI6-GK4fU.

It's a rather good listen actually. [ ]
