Radiator recores

Morning all, just to let you know I can get radiators recored at my local specialists. Just dropped a rad in for my own Turbo to get done, £150 for a nice cash deal. I think they can also do autos as well with the split core. Can get a price if anyone needs one.If anyone wants one done, I am going to keep one in stock at the garage so as long as your core is fine, I don't mind sending them out to folk if anyone is needing one. The guys are very good, will post a pic when I get it back in the next couple of days.

That's alot cheaper than what some of the specialists near me wanted. It made more sense for me to buy another rad with the price difference especially with the local specialist not guaranteeing that my tanks would be fine (he reckoned they split easily due to being plastic).

Either way, it's £100 cheaper than a new rad :).

Hi Chas, the old boys I use are excellent, they have both been doing it over 50 years each and must be near 70 I would say. Very quick turnaround and can get the weirdest cores very quickly. I was browsing through one of their old core catalogues the other day when I handed the Turbo rad in, featured the delights of a Matra Rancho and other exotica like a Lotus Sunbeam! I think the catalogue was from around 1982!
