R7 Wolds Wander, Sunday 12th May 2019

Good morning David,

You would be more than welcome to join us for the run, the limit on numbers was put in place mainly for the breakfast and Sunday lunch.

Our 'petrolhead' host Ben, who owns the Star Inn in Sancton seems unfazed by the possibility of having over fifty guests for breakfast, I cannot envisage a problem at the start of the run.

The Talbot at Malton might be full as they are usually quite busy, we dined there on Sunday with a small group and enjoyed a fantastic meal. Our planned arrival time of around 2:30 is towards the end of the day for them so the restaurant does thin out a little.

I will certainly add you to the reserve list should we have a space come free.

Best regards

Peter

Good afternoon Mark,
I am not sure if I replied to you earlier but I have you down for breakfast and Sunday lunch, we managed to squeeze you in as 34 and 35 in our list.
Regards

Peter

Although it is still some way off I have a proposal. Following a group lunch at the Talbot on Sunday where we provided our meal choices in advance the service was flawless, admittedly we 'only' had nineteen for lunch but all the food came out together, was piping hot with no errors in the orders.

As the Porsche club GB 'Wolds Wander' lunch will have thirty five sitting down, we would like to be able to provide the hotel with the same advance notice. There is no rush as I will submit the choices a couple of days beforehand, if anyone is unable to make the run on the day, I will be able to make amendments that morning.

Hi,
This would be our first event. I think you are full for lunch, but we would like to join in up to that point, starting with breakfast for two. Is that OK?

Hello Nigel,
Yes, the Sunday lunch filled up very quickly but Ben and Lindsey are happy with our numbers, we look forward to seeing you at the Star Inn and I have added you to the list.

Pete

Hello.
It will just me for a sandwich at the start, Gill will be on dog-sitting duties so no veggie sandwich.
Thanks

Thanks for the update Chris, I will amend the list.

I am currently in the process of sending out PM's to all those who have requested lunch at the Talbot Hotel on the 12th May, please could you indicate your choices from the Sunday lunch menu, this will assist the staff with our group reservation.

Please can you also include in the reply your full names as in some cases I only have a forum name. This is a blanket message being sent to the nineteen who have asked for lunch so please bear with me if your names are on your forum message.

The menu choices will be forwarded to the Hotel on the Friday before the run but I will be able to notify them of changes on the day.

The process has currently stalled as I have reached a time limit for PM's but will continue when possible, the menu is below in both link and image if your PM has not yet arrived.

Best regards

Peter

Good evening Simon, a space for the lunch has become available if you are still interested.
I have added you to the list.

Good Morning,
I’ve somehow manage to book myself in without approval from the good lady and she had already planned something. I did question calendar entry times but in good nature conceded to her. To that end we are no longer able to attend. Sorry for the inconvenience. Sad to be missing out.
