Hi all.

Advanced notice to all R3 members:

You will shortly receive an email, via the club, with details of a trip Gillian and I are planning to visit Goodwood for the FlatSix Show on Saturday 8th July. Advanced planning for this is necessary as the limited supply of tickets goes on sale on 1st February.

The FlatSix Show is a relatively new event, held for the first time last year, where the entire Goodwood site is given over to all things Porsche, and is sponsored by Porsche themselves, (you don't actually have to have a flat six engine).

Given the distance to travel, this will be a weekend trip leaving on Friday 7th and returning Sunday 9th. The email includes a brief itinerary and accommodation special offer, staying in a hotel approx 20 mins away from Goodwood itself. Dinner will be included at the hotel on the Friday evening and we'll organise a meal out locally for the Saturday night - further details to follow closer to the time.

If you wish to participate please use the ticket purchase and hotel booking details included in the email. It will be really helpful if you can let me know you are coming via this thread.

Hoping you can join us for another Porsche focused event this summer.

Excellent Gary and Michelle, although it remains a long way off at the moment no doubt we'll be surprised at how fast the clock will tick around!

Hi all

You should have received an email from the club this evening with all the details for this trip. If there are any further questions post them here or PM me.

Remember the tickets go on sale 1st February (if you visit the ticket site before then you'll see all tickets for last year sold out).

Just to quosh the rumour mill before it starts - Gillian and I are not official Assistant ROs. That's a title PCGB central seems to have bestowed upon us!

This looks fantastic!! I’m not back from the Le Mans Classic until the Tuesday before so it looks like a couple of long trips down south within a week, but worth it 😀

More miles means more smiles Paul. Welcome on board!

I'm attending the Centenary Le Mans 24hrs this year, so we can compare notes!

Ha ha, very true John!

Enjoy Le Mans, should be a great centenary celebration; and look forward to comparing notes!

just tried to book tickets and it is completely sold out. I thought they only went on sale on the 1st Feb.

I think that’s the 2022 tickets, doesn’t look like this years tickets are up for sale yet.

Tickets are now on sale from https://www.flat6.co.uk/tickets23

It seems you need a paddock pass ticket for you and your car and a general admission ticket for each passenger.

It also looks like they are releasing these in batches (tonight’s is only 140 tickets). I’ve managed to purchase paddock and general passenger tickets tonight. If you miss out keep an eye on the website as there will be quite a few rounds of ticket releases with some of much larger numbers (there are 5000 passenger tickets available).

Hi John and Gillian, General Admission tickets purchased and hotel booked. I couldn't see anywhere where paddock pass tickets were shown as for sale? do we need these for parking the car?

Abigail and I will be attending and looking forward to a great weekend of Porsche magic and friendship

Hi Jim, great to have you and Abigail confirmed for the trip.

I've contacted the organisers to get an answer to your question. I think with the tickets you've purchased you may find you'll be parking in a public car park and have to walk into the show area, but I'm trying to ensure that you'll be okay with what you've bought.

I've also asked if they can give dates for sale of future batches of paddock pass tickets, which allow driver and car into the show area.

Their web-site is not the most informative, nor is their Facebook feed.

We'll get sorted though.

Hi John, in response to your last post, do you think they'll be releasing anymore paddock passes or do you think that's it? I'd love to bring my 356 down, but only if i can get her in...
