R29 Meeting @ The Owl. Sunday 13/8/23

Hello to all

Having just joined the Club, I attended the R29 meeting at The Owl this morning. Great to meet members both old and new.
I intend to attend The Fairmile meet on Wednesday, so hope to catch up with those I didn’t get time to chat with.

One question I do have, are any of you attending the Shere Hill Climb on Sunday 3/9/23 ? If so do we attend as a group/club? Having attended over the last few years I have always noticed a large collection of Porsches all parked together, with Porsche banners etc. around them. This appears an organised gathering. Any ideas as to who organises this ?
I do realise this clashes with the Brands Hatch date.

Hi John,

Good to meet you this morning and I will try to get along on Wednesday if work allows.
I noticed that along with R29, R19 (Thames Valley) also show the Shere Hill Climb on the events page, with a ticket link, so maybe a joint Region gathering could be arranged. I’ll be at Brands but would suggest contacting their Regional Organiser, as Surrey don’t have one at present, to see what is planned.
