Although starting in Gloucestershire, there will be 2 x 50mile runs with a stop at The Talbot Hotel in Knightwick (WR6 5 PH),just off the A44, for refreshments.
Many competitors at Shelsley Walsh stay here as it has both bar and restaurant with outside tables overlooking the river. The bar area seems spacious, the staff helpful and there is ample parking.
The plan is as follows;
- arrive Stanley House GL17 0AL (Andy Rodgett`s )around 1100 for tea/ coffee / biscuits
- depart for drive into Herefordshire at 1200
- arrive at the Talbot Hotel around 1300 for refreshments and comfort break
- leave on return drive at 1400
- arrive back at Stanley House for BBQ at 1500hrs
The BBQ
Menu : Award winning Gloucester sausages, chicken breasts in a Chinese sauce and home made beef burgers with new potatoes and salad.
Raspberries/ strawberries plus choice of sweets.
Red and white wines plus lager.
Other info,
Walkie talkies (channel 2.0)helpful as would be sat navs
O/S Map to be provided with route and possibly tulip maps!
£10 per person to cover food and drink except refreshments at The Talbot Hotel
Limited numbers due to space at Stanley House
We are sure you all want to join us in thanking Andy Rodgett for organising this event and for inviting us to his home.
