I know nothing about it i might go a have a look and see what its like, not sure on value either is £13,000 good or bad for a mess about B?

Eric Studer still is a 356 guru, he has had some amazing cars including the 356 Speedster in Highlander. I spent an afternoon chatting to him when I was supposed to be having tracktime at Goodwood. Really nice guy, full of info and i mean full...
I saw that somewhere recently too, can't remember where, Transend?

edited for atrocio... rubbish spelling

Eric is an interesting guy like John his mate of old I had a chat with him the other night I even was alowed to check out the inner santum (can't spell) the shed !!! what a mega place with all the years worth of 356 stuff you can thing off...cool....I felt like a little kid in a toy store.

you thinking of going 356 then John ...?? you can join me 912 and a 356 ...well ok and an E as well.

I was thinking of a change (can't afford both [:(]), just been sent this info:

356 is a very famous old warhorse but not road legal very light very fast and very fragile--Eric Studer is the very pinnacle of the old 356 boys (a la
bentley boys) and he prepared the car.

Shame its not road legal (I sure you could make it so), it the "very fragile" bit thats put me off I was keen on having a look.

Jon I think you could find a nice rolling resto for good money 356 B and keep running the 912 as you go. To be honest.

That car is Trevor Messett's old racer - weighed around 730 kg when it raced back in the mid-80's/early 90's.

Some of the UK's top 356 experts at the time were involved in it - such as Eric Studer & Peter Nardelli - & it was a very successful racer.

Trevor's a top bloke, if you're interested in it Jon give him a ring, I'm sure he'd chat to you about it. I've got his number if you want or if you search it's on the forum somewhere in a thread on PPI's.

Thanks for the info, not going to go with the car, not practical for me as its be a big job to be able to make it road legal, would be great for a track car [8D]

Focus back on the 12, going to make it look/run sweet for the 40th. rool on 2005[:)]
