Purchase of a 1990 C2 coupe

Can anyone help me to check out this potential purchase? I have the chassis number and I would like to find out if there have been any Porsche recalls etc on this vehicle?

Thanks

Dominic

Dominic,

have you tried contacting Porsche Cars Reading, if it's a UK car they will have it's VIN number in their computer and be able to answer that question for you.

AT07 steering column weld I think, should be stamped in the book, OPC will be able to access records if done by OPC.

Thanks. I duly did this but they could find no trace of the VIN on their records. They told me to call Porsche Germany if I wanted to track the history of the car but their conclusion was that it was a personal import. I have checked with the seller (trade) and he assures me that the supplying dealer was Merlin Cumbria and that the Vehicle Reg Doc states it to be a UK car.

Is calling Germany the best (quickest) way to confirm the recalls realting to this car?

Cheers

Thanks for the info.

Due to the poor mechanical state of the car (it probably needs about £5k to be spent to bring into good condition), I won't be touching it with a barge pole.

Cheers

Dominic,

I am looking for a 964 at the mo....was that from a Trader or Private seller..??

Regards
Richard

Hi Ricky

It was a trader and it was priced at £15495. Superficially, the car was very good to look at, but despite having been serviced Dec03, there is alot that needs to be done. It was a 1990 model C2 with lowered suspension.

Call me on 01784 243054 if you want to know the specific details.

I'm still on the look out though for a good C2.

Cheers

Dominic
