PSE on a tiptronic?

Thought would drop in and say hi, been member for few months now but first time I have been on this forum, spend far to much time of Piston Heads and Detailing Forums and dared not get involved but here we go anyway.
I have a 997 C2S with tip which is three years old now, and want to get the PSE fitted. I have only heard it on a Gen 1 car in the showroom, sounded v good but we were inside the building so lots of echo. What is the difference like on the road once you have disconneted the plug?
About 3-4 months ago I was quoted £1,750 from PC Hatfield but was told last week on a forum that PC Bolton are offering it for £1,100 plus VAT. Wonder if they are all doing deals now and if we get a discount with our PC GB card?
You should get a discount with PCGB but if you dont have sports chrono I think the fitting charge is higher. You need to chesk this out though. I would have thought with all the doom and gloom that there would be some room for special deals.

If I had it fitted by a Porsche indie would it effect my warrenty. As their labour rates are half.
I read it's worth trying different OPC for quoted as they are owned and run by different companies, i.e Colchester not got same owner as East London. That true? Worth phoning round

100% worth shoppping around, they all want your business at the moment.
Not sure about the OPC's you mention but Yes they are owned by different parent companies, Synter, Pendragon etc...

Thinking could I get the exhaust and then some indie to fit it.
They would also not give me a penny off for my PCGB membership, as he said that only applied to servicing and normal parts, not performance parts. Also picked up some red rear lenses while I was there and would not give me a discount on those either. Is this right? Or should I try another OPC

The PSE if already discounted could be a bit more of an issue if they had already given a cut of the profits away.
I'd still shop around, some OPC are just parts only and others offer it off the bill.
Either way they sadly have the last word as they are franchise and we can't force them to give the discount even though its agreed through Porsche cars GB
