Made by taking a new poverty-spec oddments tray and fixing a leather covered piece to the top, which incorporates a cup holding cut out. The standard rubber mat is replaced by a piece of carpet cut to the original pattern. You could fit the original mat if you chose to, but it will add quite an amount to the total cost, for what it is.

It sits proud of the surrounding trim, because of the extra piece that has been added, but I think that it looks smart.

I was going to post it in the 'today' thread, but thought that people might be considering buying one and that a picture and opinion might be useful, so I decided to start a new topic. My friend bought one from the original site and was really unhappy because he was sent a different style of holder, whereas Im quite happy with it.

Gerry, the 964 item fits the 993. I cant link to it on Prestige Parts site because its old and ropey and uses frames. This is the website and the leather cup holder is listed under 'Aluminium Interior' for the 993, and 'Leather Interior' for the 964: http://www.prestigeparts.co.uk/ Id suggest that people buy from eBay though, as the prices are a good deal cheaper.

Anyone looking for the 944/968 part should note that [1] PP have darkened their eBay photograph so that you cant make out the items detail and [2] that the photograph used on their website is of the original style item which isnt what they now send. My photo shows what actually comes and if you look at their website you will be able to see the difference (new sites proud all along whereas old was flush with a raised section only at the rear for the cup holder).

I prefer the full length top which is all leather timmed, although I notice that the original design uses the genuine rubber mat...

Is it just me or would it make more sense to have the cup holder in front? Surely it must be easier to use the cup holder if it wasn't right at the back?

Does look very good though.
