PPF Suggestions

Hi, I am thoroughly enjoying my first ever Porsche, a 911 992.1 hence joined the "club" recently. I'm sure this subject must have come up before where I'm a little concerned about damage on the beautiful guards red body. Would anyone have any PPF suggestions/prices/does-dont's on PPF applications.?
 
Firstly, welcome.

I’d suggest having PPF fitted as these cars are stone magnets. Costs vary from area to area so if you could let us know where you are there may be some suggestions of places to take it.

For a full front clip or track pack you’ll be looking ~£2k

Upside is you do get protection from minor chips and blemishes, Downside is the initial cost of installation plus doubling the cost of any subsequent accidental damage to coachwork.

As an example, a minor stone chip on the bonnet of my 911 could easily have been resolved at my local paint shop for say £150, but actually cost in excess of £600 due to the PPF needing replacement.

Consider ceramic coating as an addition (or alternative) since this preserves the paint finish against traffic film and grime and produces a showroom appearance after each wash.

Either way, before undertaking any surface coating, ensure the underlying paintwork is first class.

I had my 992.1 GTS fitted with PPF and a ceramic coat at Topaz detailing after picking up some stone chips, they deal with many prestigious car brands, I had a good experience there and still take it back for washing
