PPF or not PPF?

I've got appleplay working now but have have been told it often conflicts with the sat nav nav so I think I'll stick to streaming spotify as it negates this issue and saves the hassle of plugging the lead in and out of the phone.

You can either navigate by the car satnav, or by Car Play. If you put a destination into one or the other it will 'hijack' your nav. I've flicked between the pair over the last couple of years of 991.2 ownership, but given that my PCM subscription just lapsed I'll stick to Car Play – because I mostly use Waze via it anyway. In car nav is Google Maps, so if you have Google Maps app on your phone then it's more or less the same thing. Interacting with the car satnav is nicer though, as the touchscreen works properly for pinch zoom. A tiny thing. Apple Maps are, still, crap. And this is a total Apple fanboi saying that. I always use Google Maps on the phone, unless I'm going near a really built up area, then Waze trumps it for navigation every time. Car Play can serve up the lot, so bonus!

I've got the carbon fiber roof on my 992 and there are no mounts...it was not something I thought about during the order, I don't know if other specs have this utility. Will make it more difficult to go skiing...

That's a sad loss from the 911. The design and engineering of the roof mount system on the 991 is genius!

Yes I agree. I was really hoping they would keep it. I haven‘t tried the Seasucker yet - a little nervous to put my bike on it.

Yes it’s the same. The only issue is I have a sunroof and they don‘t recommend attaching it to the sunroof so I have attached mine just behind. So it’s fairly back.

The carbon roof is a nice option that I would have selected if I had gone for the 992. Have you posted any pictures of the car on here?
