Porscheshop / PCGB Front Engine Open DaySaturday 24th October 2009
Porscheshop have been a long term supporter of Club events as both a Business Sponsor and principal event sponsor for many years. Porsche Club Motorsport, Frontrunner, Isle of Man, and Porsche and Polo are a handful of the many events that Porscheshop generously support. While many will see the Porscheshop name associated with these events, and may even have used their services, few will appreciate the complexity of the Porscheshop business.

In October Porscheshop will be opening its doors for Members to find out what Porscheshop is all about. This is your chance to speak to Porscheshop MD Ian Heward and see what makes him tick. Unless you know him personally you will be surprised by his enthusiasm and depth of knowledge on Porsches and particularly the 944. On the day Porscheshop will be offering:-

10% discount on all mechanical, body parts & accessories (everything except Porsche selections)

Vehicle inspections, these will be conducted on a lift in thier workshop between 11:00am & 2:00pm and undertaken on a first come first served basis subject to time constraints on the day.

Free fitting of Throttle response cam & Powerflow filter kits The throttle cam itself will be £15.00 and Powerflow kits will be £50.00 inclusive on the day price.

Mat sets(4) will be £39.95 inclusive on the day.

At 12:00 Porscheshop will be conducting a guided tour for PCGB members demonstrating their parts mail order facility. This will be of particular interest to those who wish to see how their parts are selected, packed & shipped. Porscheshop have some very helpful ideas about how the parts supply for older cars can be ensured in the future, and this will be a great opportunity to ask questions on the day. Additionally, Dave Roberts will be bring along his championship 944 2.7 race car for display in the main show room. There will be a catering van on site all day in addition to a McDonalds and a pub serving bar meals within walking distance. With ample parking for all who wish to attend, and the offer to make this a regular chance to get together, this should be a notable date for your diary.

Whether you own a new or older model Porsche, be it Air or Water Cooled, Porscheshop can cater for all your needs. They stock and supply parts for all models, and years, from 1965 to the present day. The Porscheshop initially began as a mail order company catering for the whole of the U.K. and also international destinations. Due to requests from local customers a service centre was opened, alongside the continual expansion of the parts mail order side of the business.
