Hi,
does anyone have any knowledge of the above for the 2.7?
as well as offering a " fuller more powerful sound" does it give any power increase?
any info. gratefully received on the Tequipment product or similar.

andrew,Ive just bought a bigger exhaust for my 2.7 to be fitted at the end of the month, see thread on this forum " bigger exhaust" .
im told i should get a bit of an increase in power.and a lot better grunt.

Porsche Centre West London have offered me the Tequipment Sports Exhaust (the new one - split-oval design) for 300GPB fitted. It usually costs around 400GBP fitted. I did ask whether it offered any sound or power advantage but it does not.

Waste of money unless you want a shiny bit of metal for 300 quid.

Apparently the exhaust tip is held on by one single bolt. Porsche charge 100GBP for labour for undoing this one bolt and then putting the new tip on and tightening the bolt again.

Hi Rumba
thanks for your info; I think we may be talking about two different products? the one I was thinking of was the " sebring" twin tailpipe design sports exhaust and bypass pipes (circa £1000 plus labour) rather than the sports tailpipe which as you say seems to be just an " attractive feature"
Andrew

Okay Andy. The tailpipe that I am referring to is the only official option available for MY03 cars. Shame.

got the exhaust fitted; great sound particularly noticeable at lower revs (up to 3500 revs), much more throaty! , looks good too! can' t say whether there is any performance improvement but in all honesty I was looking for something with an improved sound rather than a bhp increase.(as long as the performance doesn' t dip!) However the weather is (touch wood!) set fine for tomorrow so I will give it a blast further up the rev range and get a better idea!
all the best,
Andy
