Porsches on the Prom[/h2]North Wales R6 region will be hosting the Porsches on the Prom event at Llandudno on Sunday 22 May.
The opportunity to see hundreds of our favourite cars parked Le Mans style along the promenade is not to be missed.
We've booked the Menai Suite in the St George’s Hotel. The hotel is perfectly placed as it is opposite the entrance to the promenade. Tea, coffee, bacon rolls and lunch, as well as the other hotel facilities, will be available.
Carl Hazleton and his team at Chester Porsche, will be supporting us. They will send a selection of cars which will be parked outside the hotel for viewing. We’ll have audio visual displays in the conference suite as well as Porsche merchandise for sale.
We’ve arranged for the club’s 356 to be brought up to Chester and driven over to Llandudno for the day. Club HQ will also be bringing along merchandise and the club Transit van and awning which will make a great focal point on the prom.
Another highlight of the day, will be a drive around the Great Orme. The road is a narrow one-way toll road. Not a speedster route, but it certainly has amazing views over the sea and the Welsh mountains.
There is no need to book and there is no entrance fee for the event. Instead, we will be asking for contributions on the day for one of our local charities. Arrival time from 10am.
If your car drips oil, please bring along a tray to place underneath. We must not leave any marks on the promenade.
Lady members of R6 will be waiting to meet and greet in pink hi-vis jackets. R6 chaps will be in 'boring' yellow hi-vis. Please come over and say hello.

If anybody is planning to go up to Llandudno through Shrophire and wants to team up for the drive, I will be leaving the services at Dobbies roundabout (A49/A5 South of Shrewsbury) at around 9am. The new Starbucks there will be open from 8am, with Esso super-unleaded on tap next door, for those whose cars have expensive drinking habits. Intending to follow a route via Llangollen, either over the Horseshoe Pass or Evo Triangle. Otherwise hope to see you up there in the sunshine! :ROFLMAO:

Hi Andy,
I'll be going up from Shropshire in the morning (subject to this rain stopping). I want to go via Welshpool, Bala, etc. as the road should be a bit more fun. I will also be going earlier, as I want to get back early too. It is also shorter, but I doubt it will be quicker.
Might see you up there!
Trevor
