They were pretty good overall and reasonable rates but when I moved to Chester geography dictated that I needed someone more local so I began using Bob Lewis, a BMW and Porsche specialist, he uncovered quite a few gremlins which Steve Lodge hadn't unearthed. Needless to say once I'd got those sorted with Lewis's, the 944 ran as sweetly as a nut and the difference really was noticeable.
So Lodge were ok but for me they missed a few things that another specialist picked up on as par for the course. They had a 944 or two in whenever mine was having work done, but they were always track cars.

Still, my current provider of any necessary mechanical 944-related TLC is Promax, and the car lives in North Yorkshire, so I guess we are in the same boat. Except I get some pretty bits to drive through before I pass Sheffield

Hartech are good and theres a tech in Ramsbottom near to Buttercup who is well regarded. Theres also a firm in Barnsley called Euro-something.

I think Hartech or Ninemeister in warrington is yr best bet to be honest (seen bad work from lodge sport first hand so...)
