Porsche Festival

Hi Nice to see the Brans event is looking like it is a good one but in the listing of cars the 912 is not listed surprise surprise When are they going to understand that the 912 is a **** Porsche with the same merrits as any other Porsche.

Hi Mark
I assume you mean the copy on the front page of the Festival website...
sigh...
What can I say....

[912![/b]

pants isn't it...

Come on guys!!
you are, of course, included in the '...and more' comment. Also in that section are numerous other models; there is just not room to list every Porsche model on that front page.

BUT the 912 gets THREE mentions here! - the Festival does recognise that the 912 exists after all...

Guys, the 924, 944, 930, 993, 996 and Boxster are not mentioned, neither are Cayennes and Tractors!

You seem to complain if you are not on the cover of every Porsche Post and mentioned in every article. Come on, be reasonable.[&o]

It's been said before - if you want to see more 912 stuff, contribute an article instead of complaining about it on a website! I would love to see a blow by blow restoration article from the 912 contingent, ok so I'm an enthusiast, but there must be more like me![;)]

Mark B, there is an upcoming article so watch this space, the long lead times have delayed the PP article.

Also, a 912 has never in my knowledge featured on the cover, soon to be rectified, how many other models have that honour?

I don't see any harm in Mark 912 mentioning what has become a running joke in 912 circles, lighten up, it was light hearted! It was after all aimed at the 912 contingent, you don't like then...

Ok, but to the general public (on a public forum...[;)]) it does not come over as a joke. It comes over as being very angry.

you don't like then...

[Angry response removed, by myself - Mark[;)]]

Gavin,

Sorry, got my back up!
I thought, you complain when there is no coverage, but if someone shows an interest in the model you tell them to go away!

Edited it now...

Mark B That is why I posted it here in the 912 section and not the General Section.

And Gav is right it has become a running joke about 912's not seaming to be acknoledged in the club. The 912 coverage is/has been very small ( If any ). there has not been a 912 on the cover ever and as for 912 contect in the mags very little. We don't moan about not being in the mag . We rasied a piont a while back and this is the moaning that you are thinking about. ( 1 Moan, which got the ball rolling ) most of us have given up now any way. We know they are great cars , enough said.

there has not been a 912 on the cover
I am looking for a subject for my second cover shot (provided the Balloon over Eynsham last year) - so, if one or two of you 912 guys want to get together somewhere photogenic, we can give it a whirl...
Let me know

Thanks Jeff, we have one in the pipeline already... March I think, the first ever 912 on the cover in 39 years, when you read it like that you can see why we are slightly sensitive.

Would be good to have some more though, we are going to Reims in March so that should give us some good oportunities. Maybe when the weather gets better we can do a 'photo call', thanks again Jeff.

There seems to be a lot of passion for the model, me included, looking forward to seeing something soon in the PP.

An article on the March event would be nice, I have packed my camera already.

Matt Price and I have a pic of a pair of 912's on Brook lands race track if this helps see Matt as his cam is much better than mine

Matt any luck with the CD
