PORSCHE FESTIVAL BRANDS HATCH

[:)] My 964RS will definitely be back on road/track by end August....if only because I have booked into the track day at Brands just before the festival. I'll have to remind myself how it ( the LHD RS ) works, especially difficult as the daily driver is a tiptronic 996.....fortunately its the Indy circuit so I only need about a 1 minute memory span and ability to turn right at most places, especially Paddock Hill bend [;)]

My dear old Mum (86) is a fan of Brands , unfortunately I'm going to rule her out from doing passenger laps with me on the Friday, but intend to bring her along for the Sunday in the RS. Questions for Des / Mel ...Is there going to be a register display ? Is this on a strict timetable for parking up / moving off?

Was on the Indy today (Heritage) as a passenger in a very well driven (quick) 993RS, tried to get a late booking but all gone on e-bay for £50!!!! Yes great little circuit for the RS did the club track day, last year, Paddock a real lightness in your pants bend.....

Also booked for 27th August Club Track Day look forward to seeing you and the RS/Mum Don't know final arrangements for the Display etc............Meinen Kommandentenhurer mit der Cuppenwaggen will give orders no doubt. As in previous years Register Cars are normally well in place before opening time and stay until closing time.

You are correct meine kleine Untergropenunterfuhrenkampenplatz!

So far I think we have about 5 confirmed 1 Cup Car and 4 Lightweights......Melv posted a thread a while back, here is an excellent chance to put faces to names and pitch up our cars on what should be the best Register Display for the best 911 ever.............[;)]

PS. Sorry Matt and a ClubSport....[:D]

Only a few weeks away...................so do you want your car in a field away from the action or nicely tucked up in a central prominent position with Mel guarding it 24hrs?

Oh go on then....Like to do by bit for charity..
lee

The Parade Laps are not for Charity £30 to enter, there is a Charity Event very early on the Monday morning I think whereby the organisers will try and get as many cars as possible on the Indy Circuit parked £10...........If you are feeling charitable Lee then join us at Lindbrook on Saturday 10th July for an amazing Auction of mainly Porsche related merchandise see the GT3 Forum under Charity Auction, in aid of Gt Ormond St Children's Hospital............they need big wedged up Punters like yourself.......you could pick up a set of Pilot Cup Sports at a snip............Anyway glad to see you are entering into the spirit of it all.....

the Indy Circuit parked
Absolutley WRONG!!
the idea of the World Record Attempt at 0730 on Sunday morning is the largest number of MOVING Porsche ever on a UK track...

Please see various PP artricles or the Festival web site for details

I've got my cup sport jobbies coming already ... however I may still grace you with my presence on the 10th..

lee

Thanks for the correction Admin, still £10 and for Charity...........how many cars do you hope to get in total?

Hi Mel/Des

Count me in for the register stand at Brands Sunday and Monday.

Regards

Hopefully I am still booked in for Sun/Mon if not put me down (opps I keep saying that). Won't bother with the Parade laps though.
