Do any forum members compete, or have they competed in the past? Im particularly interested in four cylinder cars, of course, but Id be interested to hear about 6cyl/8cyl cars too: particularly their competitiveness against the 924-derived models.

There are lots of 4 cylinder cars competing, some are highly modded but not all.
Don't know of any V8s though.
There is a load of pictures of the cars at Curborough last month - Curborough, just to show there are some lesser modded ones too!

There are two lightly modded 944 in their class, only to the point of getting the weight down......but anything goes!!

Karl's car (above) has a supercharger and is in Class P1.....

I love Curborough. My father used to compete there in the AMOC series in the nineteen seventies and I spent a lot of time there.

The beauty of the PCGB championship, for me, is their class structure and in particular the way that modified cars arent penalised. Usually as soon as you alter the car at all, youre moved into a class with specials that you cont hope to compete against, let alone be competitive against.

Ive been reading the regs for a couple of days and Im really tempted to get involved again. Of course, I will have to join PCGB again, which Id stated that I wouldnt ever do - maybe theyll give me an eighteen month first year, to make up for the money that they owe me...[:D]
