porsche 997.2 headlight washer jet not working on one side

Hi I need advice. The nozzle is not blocked and the jet lifts ok but no water comes out. This is only on one side. The other works fine? Any ideas and what is the simplest way to access?
Thanks

Hi Ewen,

I think that you’ll need to remove the front PU to have a better look to see what’s happening with the pipework and nozzle itself to ensure that there isn’t a blockage. Alternatively you may be able to gain access just by removing the front part of the appropriate wheel arch liner.

Incidentally I have the PDLS on my 987.2 Cayman which I believe uses the same headlamp washer system as that used on your 997.2 and the nozzle itself is fixed to the bumper and doesn’t rise and fall with water pressure.

Thank Jeff. I was hoping to avoid that.... But if I have to I will

It's likely the hose has become trapped or dislodged. You can usually access the area by removing the front section of the wheel arch liner.

There's a detailed description of this and front bumper removal in the 997 Technical section - unfortunately this doesn't seem to have made it through the conversion to the new forum platform. You need to contact technical/forum admin to have it re-instated. There's some good stuff there - I should know - I set it up! 👍🏼😁
Regards,

Clive
