Porsche 991 - The Essential Companion Book by Adrian Streather

Neil, just reading through old threads and picked up your message and as no one had replied, I thought I might.... As best I understand that book although advertised was not published..?
I contacted the publishers a few years back when I bought my 991 and they said they would advise me when it became available... nothing heard since then. Back then I bought Strather`s Essential Buyers Guide for the 991.
From a very dull memory, I think the manual may have been available in digital format, but not sure.
Hope this helps if you are still around..

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. As I understand it the book was published in 2017 but after extensive searching I have never traced a copy for sale. Think I saw somewhere (Can' remember where !) that they intend to publish it again late 2025. Possibly there is not demand for later models as DIY maintenance becomes more difficult. Anyway, hope it is republished as these manuals are such a great source of information. Think I will contact the publishers to see if they have any updates. Once again, many thanks. Neil.

Many thanks for taking the time to reply Neil, should you find any further info on possibility availability of the book,I would be grateful if you could provide us with a heads-up..

While typing of publications, on the off chance you might have interest, when I first bought my 991 I found a copy of the official Porsche 991 hardback sales brochure on eBay, which I bought. I had a quick look to see if one such was still available today, though although there is a listing, it is posted as sold.

Hi, I followed up with the publishers and found that you are indeed correct - the book has never been published. Apparently it was started just before Covid took hold and never was finished, which is a great pity as they are great tomes (I had one for my 996). No indication that they intend to continue with a 991 volume. They did however suggest an alternative: Porsche 911 (991) The Definitive History 2011 to 2019 by Brian Long ISBN 9781787117921 but this series of books is not in the same category,
Thanks,
Neil.
