They do run better on super but also now with E10 unleaded there is some debate that these older cars may have to be run on the E5 super. Less chance of fuel hose degradation.ted walker said:Thanks for the reply re my 968cs. I assume its best to run it on super unleaded ?????

How true that is is still in debate as Porsche don't seem to have definitive data so are erring on the side of caution.
Chrishazle said:As it's a Sport in GR, I think for originality standard would be silver rather than body coloured, AFAIK that was a CS standard on most of the (limited number) of CS colours. Having owned 3 GR FE Porsches including for 12 1/2 years a 968 tip coupe, my personal opinion irrespective would be silver.

Hi Guys, Sorry if this is the wrong place to Post, but thinking of selling my 968 Sport 94 model in Polar silver, really don't know value of one with 225,000 miles on clock and some rust on one front and one rear wing, also suspect the plastic cam pads may be shot as engine started to whistle then sounded like it was about to stall so switched off engine and have left as is, the roof is a bit scratched/faded however the sunroof is signed by Derek Bell so haven't wanted to re paint. asking on here because I would rather it go to someone who knows the cars and can hopefully save rather than someone offering me say 2-3k just to break for a profit. had the car for 13 years still has MOT, any one interested or can offer any advise on value etc would be much apricated!Lovely to see another 968 being rescued.
Strongly suggest (if you haven't already done so) that you invest £10 to join https://www.porsche968uk.co.uk/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=3604 then get friendly with member Jakerade, OK his passion is the 968CS, he's totally rebuilt a few of those and has documented many jobs with details and photos. you'll also find the forum on 968uk is far more active than the 968 register on here (I was a 968 owner for 21 years!) and is a friendly place with many knowledgeable people with all versions of the 968 covered - in fact the forum owner is in the middle of fettling his 968 Sport!
Look forward to seeing updates (with photos) as the rescue progresses.

Where are you located, I've thought about building a 968 turbo for years.Hi Guys, Sorry if this is the wrong place to Post, but thinking of selling my 968 Sport 94 model in Polar silver, really don't know value of one with 225,000 miles on clock and some rust on one front and one rear wing, also suspect the plastic cam pads may be shot as engine started to whistle then sounded like it was about to stall so switched off engine and have left as is, the roof is a bit scratched/faded however the sunroof is signed by Derek Bell so haven't wanted to re paint. asking on here because I would rather it go to someone who knows the cars and can hopefully save rather than someone offering me say 2-3k just to break for a profit. had the car for 13 years still has MOT, any one interested or can offer any advise on value etc would be much apricated!
