Poole Quay for my car 2016 now Weymouth Prom

By all accounts, she doesn't like anybody!

Do I recall someone suggesting a break-off event on Weymouth sea-front? Now could be the time for him to step up to the plate...

Weymouth sounds good, and the beers better. Should be possible between now and next summer to sort another venue out, most seaside towns are looking for new events to bring in the grokles.

I looked at the Weymouth promenade today to gauge how many cars will fit. Might be doable at the Poole quantities of 120.

We should schedule it to clash with the 'Austin Allegro's on the Quay' date - or one of the others, perhaps...

This is a definite, have agreed a meet with the events team as they are very excited and pleased for us to come

Hi All

Weymouth (& Portland Paul ! ) Council Beach Team were most positive to my tentative enquiry for 2015 "Charity Display" for Committee consideration

The site was suggested as - starting @ Jubilee clock area then extending onwards towards Town / Pavilion direction. Parking could be both sides of prom ( deck-chairs removed by Council staff to accommodate number of cars within parking/display area. as necessary) Sensitive/sympathetic use of prom near shelters requested. R26 would have to provide Marshalling and local Police could assist traffic movement at conclusion.

The question of insurance was not discussed- nor anything -other than an outline/brief query.

The Committee chose not to proceed further at that time - but a resurrection of contacts is possible - should there be second thoughts.

Your right you did previously recommend Weymouth as a cars on the Prom event, unfortunately at the time we had 2 similar events on Poole quay. Due to Poole Tourism now cancelling both events involving Porsches, Weymouth was discussed again as a possible replacement. Unfortunately as you have not been present at recent meetings Paul put himself forward to look in to it on behalf of the committee. If you have any information or contact details that you think will help with this please feel free to forward them to Paul Butcher.

Thanks for your support

Very happy to assist Paul if necessary and share info: Will contact him later.

Regrettably, some health issues have not allowed attendance @ recent Club events - though there in spirit !!

Hope to rectify shortly for a better 2016
