piston slap ?

FWIW the video was taken of my car when it was warm. In the end I changed the engine for a secondhand unit. Going through my car's history I found that it would be the third engine the car would receive. When the engine was changed I went a little overboard and overhauled the cooling system in the process since it could have been better (change the swollen hoses for new items (not many original hoses were left!), changed the thermostat for a genuine Porsche item in addition to a new radiator.

This did do the trick in keeping the engine fan off for a while (it would stay on for a bit of time previously (and when I bought the car)).
