Wasn't there talk of making it easier to post pictures here recently?

Yes you are correct, but as this forum software is no longer supported by the manufacturers the club will no longer pay to have 'bespoke' addons made for this software platform.

The club has been looking at replacing the software, but none of us admins have been in the loop as to when, where and why this will take place.

To be honest using a third party (as I do) to host your photo and then just copy the link (BBCode) is straight forward.

Hopefully the clubs IT director will add a post on here to enlighten us all.

Thank you.

I think there's a few older members on here that can't be bothered to jump through hoops to post pictures. Yes I could spend 10 minutes working out how to do it, but by the time I wanted to post some more pictures I'd have forgotten how to do it. There seems to be plenty of other car/bike forums with low traffic that make it simple to post pics. And perhaps the hassle to do it here, is one of the things contributing to the forum fading away.

Takes me less than thirty seconds to post a picture from files on my laptop, I am not young either [;)] :ROFLMAO:

I can elaborate should this method be of interest ...

Probably takes me 5 seconds to post pictures elsewhere. And judging by the amount of posts you have in the time you've been here, you spend a lot more time on a computer than I do.

I think finding a simple way to post pictures is worth it for all of us particularly if you don't have to find a host to send them to first which is something I don't have to do elsewhere. Blade 7 makes a good point his 2nd post applies to me, I post on Facebook, Pistonheads etc but more hassle than its worth on here so yes lets be knowing please.

I use imgur.com, it takes about 10 seconds, drag the picture onto imgur, click on the uploaded picture, copy the BBCode, paste into the forum post.

Yeh, nah! You are right, it is a pain. Hopefully it will be fixed although, apparently, it is very difficult. Fortunately we have some top men in their field on the job.

Thanks for posting the youtube vid, I tried exactly that with Flickr but it only resulted in small "image missing" icons. I'll try with imgur.com

Are you up for some assistance - judgement yourself ?
