phone set up 2006 Cayenne

Hi, I have just purchased a 2006 Cayenne which has the factory set up to connect the phone via a duplicate SIM. I contacted Orange and they no longer support supplying a duplicate SIM (they wanted me to take out a new contract). I checked on some of the blocks and it was suggested that part of the PCM unit be adjusted so that it could be used to connect via blue tooth (I have an Iphone 4s). Are there any easy answers on the way forward with this. I am not keen on removing my SIM from the phone each time I enter the car. Any useful advice would be appreciated.

Network providers no longer support Dual Sim so if your PCM is capable of using Bluetooth it needs to be plugged into the Porsche diagnostic computer to do this.

Mine is an 09 spec car and for mine to work with the iPhone 5S I had to take it to my local OPC who did the update in 30 minutes. Worth ringing them up to confirm your PCM is able to do the update.

The other option us to buy a Pay as You Go sim and put it in your PCM slot then divert your calls to the PAYG number but you will pay divert charges (approx 10p per minute)

Hope this helps [:)]

We have a 2009 Cayenne and recently connected a new Blackberry via bluetooth using their instructions, try checking this with Iphone.

So a 2006 would only have the early version of PCM and 2009 cars would have the later version so you'd need to install something like a Tooki for Bluetooth, or a Dension Gateway 500S unit for Bluetooth phone and Audio streaming. Tooki is phone only, no music.

It will be a MOST system but same as older unit I had in my 997 turbo Gen 1.
