Use POR 15 Fuel Tank Repair Kit to create a new tank inside your old one. A leaking petrol tank can be lethal, welding a tank is suicidal - this kit will put an end to the need for it. To restore your tank as good as new first take Marine Clean to remove any old fuel and contaminating deposits in your tank, secondly prep your tank with Metal Ready. Once the surface has completely dried apply POR-15 tank sealer to plug any leaks. Finally, the Fuel Preservative/ Stabilizer will prolong the life of your petrol and keep the tank clean. The complete kit contains: 946ml Marine Clean, 590ml Metal-Ready, 946ml Tank Sealer, 473ml Fuel Preservative.

S208 Fuel Tank Repair Kit £44.00

Given that the discount is based on the amount we spend, and not the number of kits we buy, I have had a re-think. Excuse the confusion, but bear with me.

- I'm not really interested in the fuel preservative
- I would prefer larger quantities of the Marine Clean and the Rust Remover as I could use these on other bits of the car.

I spoke to Frost and agreed that they would offer a second kit (Kit B):

Marine Clean (3,780ml not 946ml)
Metal Ready Rust Remover (3,780ml not 946ml)
Tank Sealer (946ml "" same as normal kit amount)
Fuel Preservative (none in this kit)

The total price for the above is £61.50. Frost have offered this new Kit for £50.

Again, if we order more than £250 we would get a further discount, and this would bring the cost of Kit B down to a fixed £44. Kit "A" will cost £35.20 after the bulk discount.

I would also like 3 other items which means I get free delivery (4 items or more). A Kit is considered 1 item.

As I have complicated matters slightly, I am happy to take over the organisation from Mr Miggs. Please let me know Miggs, otherwise I will email you with the other items I need from Frost.

I think I would go for kit B too.
One question though, did the tank originally have a sealed surface? The sealing part is the only bit that concerns me as I will be running a brand new set of carbs and don' t want to trash them. Could I get away with just the clean and de-rust? Just a thought.... May be a pointless excercise?

Have been using tank coating for years since discovered its use for inside of fruit juice storage tanks back in the late 1960' s and tried it in my 1932 Sunbeam Model 90 ex-Amateur TT racing motorcycle' s tank.. I had it in my 100 litre 911S long range tank in my 2.7RS. Passed this info onto chum in South of France who used it in the tank of his Alfa Romeo Classic Rally car. He rumbled the tank with gravel from his drive way..... All with complete success. Funny how you young chaps are still inventing the wheel (joke!) - but glad to hear it!
