At the weekend I finally got round to putting the car in the Permabag that I recently bought. Basically it's a big bag that unzips on 3 sides.

Lay out on the garage floor, unzip, drive on, insert 2 cylinders that absorb moisture and zip up - job done.

That looks pretty cool . . . . not having electricity in my garage this would be an excellent choice for me.

It looks like you put a car cover over it first (picture 3) . . . . do they recommend that?

One for the christmas list me thinks.

The inside of the bag is not soft and their instructions do recommend their Auto-Pyjama cover.

They sell a specific outdoor version, which "...comes complete with a number of extra accessories, making it suitable for for outdoor use even under harsh climate conditions such as sun, wind, rain, hail, snow and storm."
They also sent me a german brochure, with english translation, of an electrical device that works indoors or out. This uses a capacitance effect to repel oxygen molecules, is car battery powered and left attached permanently to the car. I suspect this is new as it doesn't appear on their website.
