Peridot

Hi folks
Finally taken the plunge and placed deposit for a Turbo Cab and was thinking of a 'different' colour after a white/black car over the past 4 years.

Looked at H9H9 Metallic Emerald but the wife thinks it maybe a bit 'too bright' so I thought about Peridot, which I really liked when I borrowed a Cayman R for a few days last year.

Trouble is, Porsche are being very coy about whether or not they can do this, and cannot give an idea of when they could implement this.

Bit odd when they have told me the Emerald would be June/July build slot.

Has anyone had any experience of ordering in this colour? If so, an idea of build time and a paint code would be really useful to me - better still, if anyone has any pictures of it on a 911 that would be great!
Thinking of black interior with centre console surround in Peridot too.

They cannot stitch in peridot green but did suggest lime gold stitching which I think might look a bit odd.

Peridot is a striking colour on the Cayman and I've seen a couple of them sell without problem pre owned. I looked at a GT3 that had been painted in special order that took a year to come through. Reading through the Rennlist link, that begins to make sense depending when you order the car and when the factory is doing the paint to order run.
What colour roof would you choose?

I was interested in post #215 from which I learned that my rear would be enjoying the comforts of genuine natural leather at no extra cost []

As to the OP's question, having seen the factory in operation and the complexity of the "just in time" supply chain, I think Peter's estimate of a year for PTS pretty realistic. Could be wrong though.

Cheers chaps, and that link is pretty good - I'll have a detailed look later.

I have found a Peridot Cayenne in Canada in my search, which is certainly striking!

I am opting for black roof, black leather and at the moment looking into lime gold stitching in the interior, with the interior trim package in exterior colour just to contrast with the black.

Also decided to go for the black lights which should give it a fairly mean stance from the front and compliment the black intake surrounds, roofline, underside of mirrors and flank scoops.

Just waiting for the OPC to come back to me with cost on the lime gold stitching.

TBH, I don't mind waiting for the car, as I want it to be exactly what I want and I'll be looking at it every day for the next 4-5 yrs!

The special order Emerald metallic was a june/july slot, so i'm hoping that Porsche might agree the same for - fingers crossed!
